Christmas is not a word that you will find in the Bible. But I know that when Christ was born, angels from on high came down to worship and to declare the news of his birth and to tell the world the significance of it. That is true Christmas. Killing cows and slaughtering chicken is not bad, but that is not the heart of the celebration. Buying new clothes may actually not be an issue, only that it has nothing to do with Christmas.
Christmas is a time to worship The Son of God. It is a time to celebrate our salvation and to declare Christ to others. It is a time to intensify commitment to evangelism and win more souls to the Lord.
His name is Jesus. Jehovah is Saviour, yes, Jehovah saves! The good news is simply about who He is, his name makes the difference. His name is the answer to every problem.
There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.” (Act 4:12 ISV)
The name of the LORD is a strong tower. A righteous person runs to it and is safe. (Pro 18:10 GW)
