Welcome to Day 24 of the 40Days of Return. Today’s article is a call to repentance, to search yourself and allow God to reveal the hidden man of who you are.

Sin Rides on Desire

I found out many people in America avoid food that contains gluten no matter how good it looks on the outside. For them, it is poisonous which makes it a no-go area, the label reads gluten was added. You can not tempt a person with the things he hates. Often times you are tested by the things you really love. Things that may make you bend your morals to get what you want and fall for the temptation. Be vigilant and watchful in this time for the adversary knows that he has only a short time, deploying all of his arsenals against the saints of God.

Confess your Sins

The acronym for sin is ‘Simple Instruction Neglected’, sin sometimes is obvious to you and probably to those watching, but there are some sins that are not obvious at all. The sin in your life is working to bring you to a cross with God. Sin brings you to judgment. But if you judge yourself, you will not be judged. Don’t let sin take root in your life before you uproot it and make a clear account with God. We have hope in Christ because He came to destroy every work of the devil in your life. This is Jesus’ assignment on the earth, He wants to do this through you as you commit yourself to His will. You have victory over sin in Christ. Bible says: whoever covers his sin will not prosper. Confess the sin in your life and ask God for His forgiveness, He is faithful and just to forgive you.

Humility is Power

Stop covering your sin, expose it, and destroy it before it destroys you. Sin is like a time bomb waiting to explode and cause havoc. Humble yourself today, both the obvious and  The scripture says in 2Chr. 7:14-15: Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place. Turn to God today, let the work of redemption be perfected in your life.

The Hidden Truth that ought to be Revealed

The truth of who you really are will eventually be seen and will bring you to judgment if not made straight with God. The question is, who are you? What is the truth about you? I mean your true person both in the private and public? Search yourself and look inward like a medical doctor will examine the patient for any possible symptoms that could bring you to judgment. Let God be God in your life. Trust God for every weakness, take up His strength by faith, and live for your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Finally, every hidden act will be revealed and made open to all eyes to see. Your unconfessed sin may be hidden for a time, but it will be laid bare later. The sins of some people stand out and are well known. Yet there are others whose sins are not as obvious, but the truth of who they really are will eventually be seen and will bring them judgment (1Tim.5:24).
