Thy Expectation Shall not be cut off

For surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off.  (Pro 23:18 Amp)

Let not thy heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long: Because thou shalt have hope in the latter end, and thy expectation shall not be taken away.  (Pro 23: 17-18 DRB)

Let not thy heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long. For surely there is an end; and thy expectation shall not be cut off.  (Pro 23: 17-18 WEBSTER)

Welcome to a New Season! It is the season we all must be waiting for. For all who are expectant, I congratulate you. This Season, God will cause to come to pass all His words and promises to us. He will not permit any of His words and promises to us to fail. He said to us in Proverbs 23:18 “For surely there is a hereafter, And your hope (expectation) will not be cut off” (NKJV). He said again to us in Proverbs 24:14 “So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off”.  Friend, what is your expectation from God for this month? Have you any?

In Joshua 1:5, God said, “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee”.

Again in Joshua 21:43-45, Bible says “And Jehovah gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give unto their fathers; and they took possession of it, and dwelt in it. And Jehovah gave them rest round about, according to all that he had sworn unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them: Jehovah gave all their enemies into their hand. There failed nothing of all the good things that Jehovah had spoken to the house of Israel: all came to pass”.

Another Bible translation puts Joshua 21:45 this way “Not so much as one word, which he had promised to perform unto them, was made void, but all came to pass.  (DRB)

Turning our Bible again to Joshua 23:14, Joshua recounting God’s dealings with Israel said, “Behold this day I am going into the way of all the earth, and you shall know with all your mind that of all the words which the Lord promised to perform for you, not one hath failed” (DRB).

Don’t forget that in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established (Matt 18:16, 2Cor 13:1). We have God’s word in more than enough places in the Bible that shows us that God will never fail to perform for us all that He has said and promised us.

Filled and speaking by the Holy Ghost, Elizabeth said in Luke 1:45, “And blessed is she that has believed, for there shall be a fulfilment of the things spoken to her from the Lord” (Darby). Another translation says “And blessed art thou that hast believed, because those things shall be accomplished that were spoken to thee by the Lord” (DRB). Our beloved KJV rendered it as “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord” (KJV).

Remember these are the words of the Holy Ghost to us. They don’t need any human efforts or help to come to pass. The Holy Ghost causes them to come to pass. He causes them to find fulfillment by His own power.

This, no doubt, is ‘Our Season of Divine Performance’ and we shall see the divine performance of the Holy Ghost in every detail and area of our lives in Jesus name. Jesus said in mark 11:23-24, “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ if he doesn’t doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. That is why I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours” (ISV).

Friend, do you believe in God’s word to us this season? For me, I believe. And I shall enjoy and experience tremendous divine performance of all that God has spoken to do in my life this year in Jesus name. None of His words shall fail unto me in the name of Jesus Christ. Shalom!
