God’s Delight

The breakthroughs, innovation, development, and growth our world has experienced emanated from research, and this not without the input of man. Research is an organized and systematic investigation into something according to the dictionary, while researchers are people who conduct research. Researchers give their life, time, skills, and resources to study things that they are passionate about. I believe that you have things that interest you. The question is, how much do you know about them? Are you researching and making findings? Well, I see God saying every believer has been called to research His word and His creation, to bring to light what is hidden in this time. The truth is, there is more to be discovered in our world and you have a role in it.

The Lord has done many wonderful things!

The interesting part of this is that as many great things that God has done, God is saying, I Am waiting on you to do the greater things. Well, this kind will not happen by laying on of hands but will come as you spend time to ponder on God’s word. Meditation that is born out of God’s word yields revelation, solution, wonders, and results into your hands. If you will only wait a little longer on God’s word, so much that it becomes the center of your thought. Allowing the word to speak to you, your situation, and your future. If researchers come bearing findings, results, recommendations, conclusions based on their studies of a creature or something. After years of study with critical thinking and research questions, how much more will a child of God bear studying and pondering on the word of God to deliver answers to life, work, academics, business, career, marriage, and ministry? The key to unlocking impossible doors is meditation on God’s word, get out relevent scriptures that address your situation and ponder on them until you see light breakforth.

Why Meditate on God’s Word?

Meditation is to be still before the Lord while holding on to His word. The stillness of your heart, not necessarily your body. Where your spirit connects to God. Pondering on the word of the Lord shows that you love Him, your love and delight can be seen in those things that take your energy, time, and attention. If anything is going to be neglected to free up time on your schedule, it is not the act of study and meditation on the word. What is your delight? I mean the things taking the most of you. Is your delight able to save you when troubles come? If not I encourage you to retrace your steps back to the word of God. It is the anchor that guides us through life. Prov. 8:30 says, then I was constantly at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence. Meditation on the word keeps you at the side of the Lord, God forbid that you and I are not at the side of the Lord.

How do you bear the name of the Lord without His word? You need to bear both in your heart, for you to become like God. Jeremiah 15:16 says, when your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.

The Result of Meditation/Pondering on God’s Word

One of the outcomes is soul winning, making disciples, and sharing what the Lord has done at every opportunity to speak. Genuine love for people is demonstrated when you share the gospel of Christ with them, the good news of salvation for all men. You are able to show the love of God more to the people around you as a result of the indwelling word on the inside, your heart is yielded to the Holy Spirit. You become a carrier of God’s presence, truth, power, authority, kingdom, and awe.

The Father delights in you, He loves you more than you will ever understand and He desires that you will take delight in Him. Proverbs 8:17 says I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. There is an assurance that you will find God as you study, meditate, and ponder on God’s word, it is life gained. If you are not a child of God, seek Him in His word and you will be encouraged to give your heart to Jesus.

Shalom!
