2 Corinthians 2:13 says; ‘’The Grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, The love of GOD and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all, Amen’’.
For us to define Grace, we cannot make the dictionary our focus, we will look into the scriptures because it is the only Holy Book that can give us accurate definition, in that it was inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16).
Apostle Paul in his second letter to the Corinthians use this verse to close the epistle. The Holy Spirit inspired him to conclude by defining in a summary, all the stages of the move of God to redeeming man back to Himself (three stages of God’s expression to human).
Unfortunately, many of us in the church have merely reduced the potency of this verse to what we only recite after our gathering and it ends there, but this verse of the scripture is rich in doctrine.
Grace can be said to be the communication of God’s love through the person and mission of Jesus Christ whose End is to restore us back to the Fellowship (that we were created for but lost or were disqualified from after the fall in the garden of Eden), which can only be enabled by Holy Spirit in our spirit.
Since our focus is on Grace, we can say from the above paragraph that grace is the reaching out of the Divine Love of God to undeserving humans (in that we were sinners). That is, the outreach of the Unmerited divine love of God to human to save us from perishing (the demonstration of Divine Love for the translation of man from destruction and darkness to life and light). Unfortunately, many have not drawn from the well of this Divine Love.
The question you need to ask yourself today is, have I accepted this expression of divine Love? If your answer is no, then, accept it today so that you can also be a part of the family of the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6). The Grace People…Blessings!
