Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and GRACE, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began (2 Timothy 1:9)
Grace has been on the move since before creation, roaming wild and free. Even before the foundation of the world, it was the untamed Grace of God that jumped the bounds of time and space and considered a yet-to-be-created people in connection with His Son, and chose us in him (Ephesians 1:4).
The Grace of God existed in the eternity past, according to our text, it has been before the world began, right from before the beginning. Grace is timeless. Eternity is not linear time extended indefinitely, but a timeless dimension God inhabits. Grace originated there, beyond human control. Nothing in our time-space continuum was the cause of God’s Grace and nothing could change his mind now.
Many have, before now, believed that Grace started in the New Testament because they failed to study the testimony of the scriptures about Abraham.
Romans 4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Abraham the father of faith gained grace which has existed in God before the world began through the instrument of faith and, it was not of his self efforts. That is why it is Grace.
So, you must come to understand that Grace is eternal (timeless), it has been before Abraham, only that it can only be attained through faith in Christ Jesus.
Even the Bible recorded that Noah found Grace with God (Genesis 6:8), we can even say Adam was created by Grace because He enjoyed friendship and company with God for a momentary time, however only the last Adam, Jesus, was recorded to be full of Grace (John 1:14). The question now is that if the generation of the first Adam found Grace with God, what will stop you, who is of the generation of the last Adam (who is full of Grace) to find Grace with God or to access that Grace available in Jesus today? This is the dispensation of Grace, friends. Don’t be like a man in plenty yet suffering, having homes yet without shelter, making clothing yet without clothes. You cannot be alive in a dispensation of Grace and still not partake of it. Why would you not open your heart to Jesus today?
As you journey through today, let it be in your heart (especially if you have not yet received that Grace) to desire the Grace of God which is in Christ Jesus for your soul today. And if you have already received God’s Grace, walk in the fullness of the Grace that is in Christ Jesus today.
Shalom… .
