Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:1-2)
The Grace which is in Christ Jesus can only be accessed by Faith. The Faith here is a living Faith, not a dead faith. (Jam 2:17-20, KJV)
A living Faith is a faith that it’s end is works. The fruit of living Faith is good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). The evidence of faith can only be judged by the good works it does. Apostle James in his letter questions believer who profess faith without works because a faith that does not motivate it’s carrier to do good works is a dead faith. To attain grace we must have a living Faith in Christ.
An important quality of the living faith needed to access Grace is an obedient Faith (Genesis 6:22, KJV). A faith that obeys all of God’s instructions. Little wonder in Genesis 6:8, the Bible recorded that Noah found Grace with God.
A faith that goes about fulfilling the will of the Father, the Almighty God. This was the same faith in Christ Jesus when He walked the face of the earth (John 4:34).
Jesus saith unto them, My meat (Faith) is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work (John 4:34).
Grace is a divine privilege we receive through living faith that enables us to have peace with God through Christ our Lord Jesus.
The question I need to ask you today is, is the Peace of God in your heart right now? If your answer is No! You need to come to Jesus by faith and receive His Grace. It is God’s Grace that brings Peace to our heart. All you need is that living first step of saying, Lord here I am, have mercy on me and forgive me all my sins. The moment you take that step of faith and approach the Father in the Name of Jesus, you will receive access to the Grace that is in Christ Jesus – the only means by which we can be saved from sin and emptiness, and find Peace.
Brethren, as we go out today let’s be aware that we can only access God’s Grace through faith in God. As a believer, you will live throughout your lifetime on God’s Grace, and so you need to daily develop your faith by the Word of God so that you can have more access to God’s Grace and be able to do His work and bring Glory to His Name. Tomorrow we will continue on this discourse of Faith and Grace
