Act Like You Know It is True!

Act Like You Know It is True! (Day 9)

It is Day 9 of the 40Days of Return. The words on my heart for you is to never give up trusting God. He does not come late, and He never fails.

The Bible says in Numbers 23:19: God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

God does not Lie

The first thing you must know is that God is not a man. He is never limited by anything and He can do all things. He does not lie. Whatever is in His Word is true, and if you take Him by His Word, He will never fail you.

God does not Fail

The second thing you must know is that God does not go back on whatever He says like men do. Men can promise you and then fail to do it, changing their minds, or because they no longer have the resources to fulfill their promises. That has never and will never happen with God. The Bible talks about all that Jesus began to do and say (Acts 1:1), He does it as he speaks about it. His Words carry authority for immediate performance.

He says in Isaiah 65:24: It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear. God watches over his word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).

Think about that scripture again: God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? (New Living Translation). The Living Bible rendition of Isaiah 65:24 says: I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking to me about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

Act Like You Know It is True!

Can you just dwell on those words for a moment and let it sink deep into you. Then begin to act like you truly believe those words. Begin to take action towards God’s plan for your life, knowing on whose promises you are acting. If you have been turned down or denied what belongs to you before, go back to that same place now with this assurance and promises of God and reclaim what belongs to you. Become so intoxicated and spurred by the Word of God that you keep asking, never ready to take a ‘No’ for an answer! No one gets to that point of absolute trust in God in their faith walk and never gets an answer!

Until you are willing to take God’s word for what it is, you may not be able to access the fullness of the treasures of God’s grace for your life and even walk with God.

It is time to start believing God for what He says and acting in line with what God’s word says, without fear, doubt, or shame. The doors only open when we no longer have anything to lose!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Shalom!
