Let Us Pray: Asking God for Help

Father, we come to you by the Blood of Jesus and in the precious name of your Son, Jesus Christ. We confess we have no righteousness of our own and only boast in your own righteousness that you imputed to us through Christ Jesus. We acknowledge your Holy Spirit in our lives and that we are totally dependent on Him for life and strength to live our daily christian life.

We worship you for who you are, we praise you for all you are doing in our lives. Thank you for your mercy and grace over us. Thank you for loving us with an everlasting love. The Bible says:

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:18-19).

Father, we ask you for help as things fall apart all around. We receive grace from your very throne and presence to stand firm and remain standing. We receive grace to pray and spend time in your presence. We receive grace to place priority on what matters to you and to keep our focus on you. For the Bible says to seek first your kingdom and its righteousness, and to fix our gaze on things above (Colossians 3:1-2).

Father, help us not to be overwhelmed by the pressures all around. Help us not to be quenched by the pressures from within. We ask and receive grace from you, dear Lord. Grace to be faithful and be found faithfully doing that which you have committed into our hands to do.

In the midst of the lethargy that is taking over the prayer altar of many, grant us fresh fires from your presence to rekindle our altar of prayer. Grant us a refreshing and new passion for your presence. Help us to build an ark of protection in your presence for ourselves, our families and loved ones. Help us to grow in love for your presence and to pray more than ever before.

Father we pray for everyone getting discouraged by the things going on in their lives right now. We terminate by your mercies every weight and burden that Satan is dumping on their lives to carry and we exchange every one of such burdens with the love and yoke of Christ Jesus. We rebuke the devil and his devices for their sake in the Name of Jesus Christ. We hold up everyone at their low ebb with the strength that only comes from the Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus. We receive divine intervention and angelic help for everyone held hostage by the powers of hell. We receive their liberation by the power of the Holy Spirit in the Name of Jesus.

Father, we ask for a new wine skin and a new wine. We need you more than ever. We need you in our spirit, soul and body. We need you in our marriages, homes, families, children. We need you in our communities and nations. We need you in our churches. Without you, everything is dead and nonexistent. Come afresh O Lord. Grant us your living water. Grant us your fresh fires. Grant us a living hope and an unquenchable faith. Fill our hearts with love for you and for those around us, especially the poor and perishing in our circle of influence.

Let today be a day of divine visitation for us. Come dear Lord and fill our cups with fresh oil. Cause our heads to lack no oil and our garments to remain pure, white and undefiled. We pray in the Name of Jesus.

Psalm 121

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; 8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Psalm 42:1-2

As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. 2I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him?
