Gold does not naturally exist in its pure state. It combines with these other substances that reduce its worth, and it takes deliberate efforts to make it pure. It is most marketable and profitable after it has been refined through fire. Humans have traits similar to gold, in that you don’t live in the purest state by default. A lot of human ideas, traditions, and cultures have mixed up with you from childhood to adulthood, and it appears as though that is who you are. They are even ingrained in your Christian walk, No! Jesus came to give you a new life; abundant life; and eternal life. Will you embrace it?

Daniel 2:43 says; this mixture of iron and clay also shows that these kingdoms will try to strengthen themselves by forming alliances with each other through intermarriage. But they will not hold together, just as iron and clay do not mix.

God Abhors Mixtures

So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth Rev. 3:16. Why? God has specifications for His children; He desires purity from the heart, this is not a makeup idea for a show; consistency in the stuff you are made from. If you have partaken of the new covenant by the blood of Jesus…then let the world see His life flow through you. Why is it so difficult to think that you are associated with Jesus? There are too many mixtures that are covering your originality, take them off. Those things you allowed into your life to combine with the power of God on the inside of you. They keep believers lukewarm. The devil is comfortable with lukewarm Christians, they constitute no threat to His destruction plan. Meanwhile, God can not support such people in His mouth.

Choose one Content

Many so-called Christians suffer afflictions as non-believers. Why because their content is no different from the world. They talk, think, and do what others do…these people are comfortable with having both mixtures and the presence of God. It will not take long before it becomes clear that you have lost your standing before God. Be transformed by renewing your mind in the word of God. The iron and clay will not hold together they are not from the same source, they are separable. There is a lot of content you consume in the corner of your room that you can not show in public. Why? There is a part of you that enjoys it, right? The mixtures continue to show up, unless you separate yourself, or else they will rob you of full fellowship with God the father. Conduct an internal search to find out what the characters/behaviors, habits, and ways are that is not Christlike. Make a list of them, repent, and turn to Jesus for cleansing by the blood.

Watch the company you keep

The people you hang out with will influence a ton of what you do and don’t do. Set yourself up for your dream future by choosing friends who share the same faith as you and are headed in the same direction as you. Be more deliberate about those you let into your life. Constantly assess your relationships to see where their headed and whether they are fulfilling their purpose. Don’t be surprised that you are all heading in the same direction, right or wrong. Combine with people with whom you share the same content.
